Colony Receives $335,000 From State

The Colony recently received its largest single contribution yet in the form of State funds from the Capital Budget and the Ohio Cultural Facilities Commission. With the award of $335,000 the Colony has raised over $1.2 million dollars toward restoration. Nancy Hollister had originally helped position the Colony to receive a State Capital appropriation and Joy Padgett continued to help at the legislative level when the Capital Bill was pushed into early 2005. Newly elected representative Jennifer Garrison was excited about the award and expressed her support of the project for the future.
