Colony Proceeding With Design Development

Now that the roof has been replaced, the Colony Board is proceeding with Design Development for the theatre. Preliminary blue-prints and the schematic design have been produced and Lock One Engineering, Killis Almond and Associates, and HRJL Architects are proceeding with detailed drawings as part of the Design Development. Some of the issues that are being discussed as part of Design Development are:

• Treatment of the lobby and Vending Areas
• Location of the sound and lighting controls
• Acoustic features
• ADA compliance
• Potential for multilevel lift in orchestra pit
• Mechanized or counter weighted rigging
• Seating confi guration and restoration
• Fire safety and code compliance
• Projection and display options
• Office and conference area function
