Colony Theatre Accepting Bids for Asbestos Abatement

The Hippodrome/Colony Historical Theatre Association (HCHTA) will be accepting bids for the following project:  Colony Theatre Asbestos Abatement.  Bid documents will be available starting June 3, 2011 at the office of Pickering Associates 11283 Emerson Avenue Parkersburg, WV 26104 for a non-refundable fee of $25.  Bidders are asked to contact Pickering Associates at 304.464.5305 to ensure availability. Questions regarding the scope of work can be directed to Ron Arnold, Project Manager, at Pickering Associates. There will be a mandatory Prebid meeting at the Colony Theatre on June 14, 2011 at 1:00pm.  Bids will be due at 3:00 pm on June 28, 2011 at the HCHTA Office located at 222-1/2 Putnam Street, Marietta, OH 45750 at which time and place there will be a public bid opening.  Remediation and related work shall comply with the terms and conditions of the grant agreement between the Ohio Department of Development, Brownfield Revolving Loan Fund Program and the Hippodrome/Colony Historical Theatre Association. All work shall be subject to USEPA and Ohio EPA approval, prevailing wages under the Davis-Bacon Act, and the requirements of Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.
