Harrison and Powers Join HCHTA Board
By
The HCHTA is pleased to announce the addition of two new Board Members, Dan Harrison and Davis Powers.
Dan Harrison is President of the residential remodeling company, Harrison Construction, which he started in 1981. Dan graduated from Williamstown High School and Ohio University and is past President of both Noon Rotary and the Homebuilders Association. He and his wife Gillian, who just joined the Interior Finishes Committee, have two children, Lucas (14) and Caitlin (10). When he has a little spare time Dan plays tennis to try and stay active.
Davis Powers was born and raised in Laguna Beach, California. As a youth, he spent several summers in Sweden with extended family, working at Scandinavian Raceway and studying music. Davis attended San Diego State University as a music major (minor in business), specializing in jazz and classical trumpet performance. He has performed with the La Jolla Symphony as well as with marching bands at Saddleback College and in Sweden. He is currently a proud member of the Phi Mu Alpha professional music fraternity.
In 1997, Davis moved to Marietta, Ohio, to be involved in the family business at Skuttle Indoor Air Quality Products. Davis, his wife Jenny, and their two children - Shawn and Ava - make their home in Beverly, Ohio.
Dan and Davis will be filling the unexpired terms of John A. Walsh and John J. Walsh. Unfortunately, both John Senior and Junior cited scheduling conflicts with their increased work obligations as a need to step off the Board. Fortunately, John Sr. will continue participating as a member of the Special Events Committee and John Jr. will continue on the Finance Committee.
