Andrew Jones Updates Website and Produces Film on Theatre

Andrew Jones, lead developer of Firebox Studios has just completed a re-design of the Colony Theatre Website. Already a wonderful source of information for the Theatre restoration effort, the site has been upgraded to allow for easy updates and new information posting. There are scores of historic photos, news, calendar of upcoming events, virtual tour, and a film of the history of the Hippodrome and later Colony Theatre. The new version will be featured inside the theatre at this year’s ColonyFest.

Additionally Andrew has just completed a new film on the history of the Colony and the recent restoration process. Andrew will be working with Marietta College graduate Media students Su Li, Peng Hong, Tianyi Zhao, and their instructor, Marilee Morrow to produce a shorter version tailored for arts agencies and potential funding sources. Andrew has conducted a number of new interviews and has added new archived research to the film.

Look for the new version to be shown in the theatre at ColonyFest, October 8!
