ColonyFest has officially moved to the first weekend in June (June 5-7). Our expanded festival has moved to Parking Partners Lot on Second Street (between Putnam and Butler Streets) and two new events have been added to make this a fun-filled weekend.
ReStore Marietta Antique Market is scheduled for through Sunday on the north side of the parking lot.    Brick Street Barbecue, a Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS) sanctioned event, will make its debut with 10 to 15 BBQ contestants from Ohio and several nearby states. These folk are real BBQ enthusiasts, grilling on-site according to rigid specifications from the KCBS. The fires stoke up on Friday evening and by midnight the aroma of barbecue will begin to float over Marietta. They will be competing for $4,000 in cash prizes, awards and medals. Judging, led by certified KCBS judges, will start mid-morning on Saturday for chicken, pork and beef from the WesBanco Judges Tent. Awards will be given out at 4 pm. This is your chance to taste the best BBQ ever!  Come early and watch the experts in action. (Contestants and Judges – see link for applications at bottom of page.)
A covered eating area, food, beer and soft drink vending will be located near the stage and barbecue area.
Peoples Bank Kids' Zone will return with magic, face painting and more, along with a double slide, green obstacle course, and the jungle combo inflatables. The Zone will be open on Saturday from noon to 5 pm and will be located just inside the Second Street entrance.
